OSHA 1 Hour Courses for General Industry
Specialized 1-Hour General Industry courses allow you to select the lessons specific to your safety training goals. Below is our range of 1-hour general industry courses, the easiest way to keep you and your employees safe. Upon successful completion of our 1-hour courses, you will receive an OSHA Training Institute Education Center Certificate of Completion from the University of South Florida.

Bloodborne Pathogens
Learn about Bloodborne Pathogens and how to avoid exposure, learn how to create and implement an exposure control plan and how to train and teach your employees. You will know OSHA’s standards and regulations and be able to apply them to best fit your needs.
Introduction to OSHA
In the Introduction to OSHA you will learn about the history and organization of OSHA. You will also study important sections of the OSH Act.
Safety and Health Programs
Safety and Health Programs are essential to every workplace. OSHA has specific regulations set forth that apply to safety and health training appropriate to the type of work or industry. This course is designed to cover general guidelines for establishing safety and health programs in the workplace.
Recordkeeping
It is essential to understand the various forms, when they should be used and general OSHA recordkeeping requirements. In this 1-Hour OSHA Recordkeeping course, you will learn the importance of recordkeeping and how it applies to employees and employers.
Hazard Communication
In this 1-hour course, you will learn about hazards in the work place, how to identify them and the proper means of communication.
Fire Detection and Protection
In this course, you’ll learn about OSHA’s requirements for fire detection and protection in the event of a workplace fire.
Lockout/Tagout
This Lockout and Tagout 1-Hour course addresses practices and procedures that are necessary to disable machinery or equipment and to prevent the release of potentially hazardous energy while maintenance and servicing activities are being performed.
Machine Guarding
In this 1-Hour Machine Guarding course, you will learn the purpose and importance of machine guarding in preventing injuries.
Walking and Working Surfaces
This 1-Hour course teaches you the importance of identifying and protecting against hazards related to walking and working surfaces. This course and the OSHA standards contained within, apply to all permanent places of employment, except where only Domestic, Mining, and Agricultural work is performed.
Ergonomics
In this 1-hour course, you will learn the importance of ergonomics in the workplace and how to avoid ergonomic injuries by following OSHA guidelines.
Permit-Required Confined Spaces
Confined Spaces have limited openings for entry or exit and are not designed for continuous worker occupancy. Because of this, there are many hazards and safety concerns that must be taken in to account before anyone enters confined spaces. This course will cover permit-required confined spaces and the precautions necessary for entry.
Personal Protective Equipment
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used to protect employees from work place hazards. In this 1-Hour Personal Protective Equipment course, you will learn about the rules and regulations for types of equipment on the eyes, face, head and body that offer protection from workplace hazards.
